Known as the « Island of beautiful waters », Guadeloupe has over 12 islands, the 2 main ones, Basse-Terre and Grande-Terre, form a butterfly and are separated by the Salted River, with completely different landscapes. There’s a wonderful mix of everything Creole and French. You’ll be enchanted by everything on the island, from the mountains to the lush rainforest, with magnificent waterfalls and an abundance of birds and animals, to the deserted beaches where you can bask all day, not forgetting of course the local specialty, rhum agricole, made from sugar cane.
